Teen Cthulhu is another black metal band that's reinventing the genre. If bands like Wolves in the Throne and deafheaven come to mind - Teen Cthulhu isn't far from that. Now when most people hear that you listen to black metal, 9/10 times you're considered a loser. However, as mentioned before, this isn't the case with Teen Cthulhu: they combine sludgy hardcore riffs with black metal blast beats layered with a dark shoegaze-esque atmospheric sound and create (once again) that innovative form of black metal. Get into it.
