Thought I'd upload this gem that I listened to over the summer. I've never really been a big fan of this band, but this this ep has really caught my attention. If you've never heard of this band, A Great Big Pile of Leaves sounds like the bastard child of Minus the Bear and Lucero: noodly math-rock with an indie twang. Their older stuff never really caught my attention whether it was their choice in song structure or lack of amazing hooks, however, Boom! really brought this band up to par, where it has now been a staple on my ipod. Although Boom! is really just an acoustic ep of old songs (minus the new song "Learning Curves") remixed from previous albums, they honestly sound better than the originals. If you don't anything else - download the remixed version of "This is a Country Song," cuz it's probably the best song on this ep. Get into it.
