Welcome the Plague year are a chaotic post-hardcore/screamo band who features members from Neil Perry, Joshua Fit For Battle, and You and I. WTPG sound very similar to Neil Perry and Joshua Fit For Battle, yet are still unique in their own way. They were really involved back in the early 2000's (I think they broke up in 2005?) but I don't know if they're still around, since they haven't put out anything in forever. ANYWAYS, what draws me to this band (like other screamo bands) are the slow chilled out/ambient interludes that they have throughout their songs, instead of just being raw and heavy 90% of the time. However, I'm never opposed to the fast-paced heavy instrumentation layered with crushing vocals that this band provides. Check them out.
